Description
Cleanse and elevate your environment with Palo santo, a sacred blend that purifies and soothes. The aroma begins with the bright notes of orange and chinotto, leading into the heart where palo santo's woody, resinous scent mingles with clove, cypress, and sage. The fragrance settles on a base of deep cedarwood and mysterious black wood, fostering a space of peace and spiritual clarity.
Instructions for use
Before each burn, trim the wooden wick to about 1/4 inch and remove any trimmings. On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the jar for an even pool — this prevents tunneling. Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time, and stop once about 1/4 inch of wax remains. Keep away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Ingredients
Pure beeswax, coconut oil, and aroma oil, with a natural untreated wooden wick. Handcrafted in small batches from locally sourced beeswax (Richfield, Utah); the natural, undyed color comes from the beeswax itself. Free from paraffin, artificial dyes, and additives. Net weight 420g (3.5" x 2.5" jar). Scent notes: orange and chinotto, with palo santo, clove, cypress, and sage, settling into deep cedarwood and black wood.
Why we love this product
Grounding and quietly sacred. Bright orange opens into resinous palo santo, clove, cypress, and sage, settling onto a base of deep cedarwood for a scent made for slow, intentional moments. We love that Cabin Candle hand-pours its Desert Hive line from locally sourced Utah beeswax, coconut oil, and a natural wooden wick that crackles like a tiny fire — no paraffin, dyes, or synthetic fillers. Light it for meditation, a reset, or simply to make home feel a little more peaceful.
Good to know
Frequently asked questions
What does the Palo Santo candle smell like?
It opens with bright orange and chinotto, moves into palo santo's woody, resinous heart with clove, cypress and sage, and settles on deep cedarwood and black wood — warm, grounding and calming.
Is this an actual palo santo stick?
No — it's a beeswax candle inspired by palo santo's warm, woody aroma, so you get that grounding scent without burning wood.
What is it made of?
Pure beeswax, coconut oil and aroma oil with a natural untreated wooden wick. It's free from paraffin, artificial dyes and additives, and its soft color comes from the beeswax itself.
Why a wooden wick, and how do I care for it?
Wooden wicks crackle softly as they burn. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch and remove trimmings before each light, and keep burns to no more than 4 hours at a time.
How do I keep it from tunneling?
On the first burn, let the melted wax reach the edges of the jar so it pools evenly — that sets the wax 'memory' and helps it burn flat afterward.
Is it handmade and plastic-free?
Yes — it's handcrafted in small batches by Cabin Candle from beeswax locally sourced in Richfield, Utah, and it comes plastic-free.
