Before first use and between cycles, sanitize by boiling in water for 4-5 minutes (no more than 7); use tongs so it doesn't touch the bottom of the pot. To insert, wash your hands and pinch the rim together into a figure-8 with the removal notch at one end (water makes it easier). Holding it rim-side up, slide it in horizontally toward your tailbone until fully inside, then push the front of the rim up and tuck it behind your pubic bone so the rim pops open. The disc should sit below your cervix; check by feeling for your cervix above the basin, and reinsert if needed. Wear up to 12 hours. Rinse in cold water first to prevent staining, then wash with warm water and a mild, pH-balanced cleanser.
