Your pre-seasoned Dutch oven is ready to cook — just rinse and dry before first use. Reach for it for braises, soups, stews, and crusty homemade bread; the more you cook, the more naturally nonstick it becomes. To clean (the Field Method): rinse with warm water and loosen food with a brush (a little dish soap is fine), then scuff with a chain mail scrubber. Dry the pot and lid completely on the stovetop, apply a small dab of seasoning oil, and wipe all surfaces — inside, out, and the lid — to a thin, matte finish. Skip the dishwasher and long soaks, and store with the lid slightly ajar so air can circulate.
