Description

A hefty 4-inch kitchen brush with an oiled beech wood handle and stiff natural union fiber bristles well-suited to cleaning cast iron cookware.

Also available as part of the Cast Iron Care Kit.

A beech wood handle provides firm grip for easy maneuverability while scrubbing pan walls and exterior surfaces.

Like many natural materials, the beech wood handle will develop a darker patina and smooth texture over time. With extended use, small cracks may appear along the grain of the wood.

Made in Germany, from fully biodegradable and compostable materials.

Instructions for use
After cooking, rinse your cast iron with warm water and scrub with the natural-fiber bristles to lift food and residue, with no soap needed for everyday cleaning. Rinse clean, then dry the pan thoroughly over low heat and rub in a thin layer of oil to maintain the seasoning. Rinse the brush and stand or hang it to air dry between uses.
Why we love this product
Caring for cast iron should be simple, and this natural-fiber brush makes it effortless. Firm plant-based bristles scrub away stuck-on bits without stripping your pan's hard-earned seasoning, so your cookware stays naturally non-stick wash after wash. We love that it's a plastic-free, plant-based alternative to synthetic scrubbers, a small, sustainable swap that keeps both your kitchen and your favorite skillet in great shape for the long haul.
Meet the brand

Lighter, smoother cast iron, made better.

Started in 2016 by brothers Stephen and Chris Muscarella, Field Company reengineered the cast iron skillet to be lighter and smoother — like the vintage pans their grandmother cooked on. Cast in the USA from recycled iron using traditional sand-casting, Field cookware is built to be used hard and handed down for generations.
