The Ingredient Index
Every ingredient we carry or have a view on: what it is, what we think, the strength we look for, and which products contain it. Or paste any label, ours or someone else's, and we will read it for you.
let us help you narrow it down
Copy it off the bottle or the brand's site, commas and all. We split on commas, ignore anything in brackets, and match INCI names as well as the names people use.
how we read a label
Where it sits on the list matters. Ingredients are listed by how much is in the bottle, so pay close attention to the first five. Something in position two is most of what you are putting on your face. The same name in position twenty is a trace, but is not to be ignored.
Then consider stacking. One label does not define the entire story. Think about the other products you use every day and where ingredients may overlap. The cumulative dose is the number that matters.
our take
Paste a label and we will read it.
Nothing on this label matches an entry yet. That is a gap in our index, not a clean result.
