Our story · Why I started Free Living Co
I went looking for clean teen skincare. I was appalled by what I found.
As a teen, I battled bad skin. At 15 my doctor put me on birth control — it cleared up, and no one ever asked what I was putting on my face. I was a dancer, layered in product, and I'll never know for certain how much of it was quietly working against me.
At 30, I tried to have a baby and couldn't. That was the moment I started asking harder questions about everything I'd been told was "fine."
Years later, when I set out to carry a teen skincare line in my marketplace, I was appalled by what I found: products that were either rebranded adult anti-aging — or quietly full of endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Both are wrong for young skin, today and for the long haul. So we made our own.
